Help During Coronavirus

Things are difficult at the moment. Isolation is hard and we’re all struggling with the separation from our families and friends.

Orangefield is still here to help.

NEED HELP?

If you need help with groceries or picking up prescriptions, or need someone to talk to, just contact our church office by telephoning 028 9079 9391 or emailing office@orangefield.org.uk

You don’t need to be a member of Orangefield, all are welcome to get in touch.

Prayer Ministry

We welcome you to send us your Prayer Ministry requests via our Prayer Ministry form.
Your requests are treated carefully, and in full confidence, by our trained teams who will pray over your requests for yourself or those you know at this challenging time.

Online Connection

We can’t meet in person so we’re doing things online. We care and would love you to connect with what we’re doing as we continue to support and minister to our church family and local community in a virtual way.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - A LETTER FROM OUR MINISTERS

Dear friends.

This September is a little different than what we are used to or were expecting, due to the restrictions placed upon us and the ever-changing landscape of Covid-19.

As church we are creating space for gathering both in person and online to enable fellowship, bible study, prayer and worship whilst also allowing space for you to continue to do family life and build on the missional connection with neighbours, that was so evident during the initial months of lockdown.

It is worth saying that this is our current plan. We hope, as the term unfolds, to open more organisations and services. However, we are also ready to pivot should we need to if the R-rate increases.

What we do ask is in all things be wise and compassionate, caring of yourself and others. Socially distance, wear a mask and if you are feeling unwell, let us know but please don’t come down to the building.

Grace and Peace,
Gareth

Sundays

We continue to gather to worship God as a church family. There are 3 options in how you do this.
1. Register and come to our Sunday service at 10:30am. (As demand for this service grows we may add a second service)
2. Engage with the service at home on your own or with your family using YouTube or Facebook.
3. Thirdly, invite a friend to come and enjoy the service with you in your home.
(Please be mindful of current Government guidelines that state a max of 6 people from 2 households can meet in one home together.)

Mid-Week

Whilst many of our organisations are postponing their start date due to Covid-19 restrictions we are inviting you into the following monthly rhythm to help you connect with others and with God.
1st Wed – Wednesday Worship (combination of worship and space for intercessory prayer). Please register to come and be mindful of current Covid-19 guidelines. This will also be streamed online.
2nd week of month – Home Groups
3rd Wed – Quiet Hour (an hour of led and silent prayer and meditation in church building) Please register. The notes from this will be made available for private prayer and meditation after the meeting.
4th week of month – Home Groups Home Groups - Due to Covid-19 restrictions our recommendation for Home Groups is online using Zoom. If you are not currently part of a home group and would like to be please contact the church office and we will help you find one.

Youth & Children’s

Our Youth and Children’s organisations (SALT – LIGHT – SNYFF – MAC – Youth House Group - BB – BG - will continue to meet using an online format of Social Media and/or Zoom. This is being kept under constant review. Our leaders will be in touch with young people and parents with details.

Should you have any questions or concern, or simply need some help or prayer, please contact any member of our team via the church office.
