Jesus said, ‘I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.’ (Matthew 25:35)

The Dundonald Foodbank at OPC

We entered into partnership with the Trussell Trust Foodbank in Dundonald and launched as a satellite of Dundonald foodbank in October 2020.

The Dundonald Foodbank Castlereagh Centre at OPC is open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Food and toiletries are donated by individuals and organisations and made into packs for various sizes of families.

We have partnered up with a number of other local churches, schools, community groups etc who act as referring agents. These organisations connect with people in need and provide them with vouchers for the foodbank. Alternatively, clients may self-refer to the service.

Clients can call at OPC during foodbank opening hours and receive a food pack which contains food and toiletries for themselves and their family for seven days. Up to three food packs are normally offered in any six-month period.

GIVE HELP

Donations of toiletries, cleaning products and non-perishable food items would be gratefully received and very much appreciated. These can be left into the resource area any time during church or foodbank opening hours. Thank you.
